The Company

Lalan Group is one of the largest diversified conglomerates in Sri Lanka. 

 

As one of the largest suppliers of gloves, Lalan Rubber exports over 4 billion gloves to more than 53 countries worldwide.  

 

Moreover, Lalan creates high-quality products and maintains social compliance standards across all of its facilities. 

 

The Challenge

With automated technology in production and manufacturing, Lalan Rubbers were in need of advancing their marketing technology. 

 

They were facing a multitude of drawbacks caused due to in-person client visits, especially when it comes to fulfilling client demands, providing accommodation, and costly travel expenses. 

 

Critical information about procedures and machinery was more prone to be overlooked and neglected by the sales teams as well. 

 

 

 

 

Their objective was to enhance transparency over the manufacturing processes and factories and ensure their clients were made aware of the sustainable processes and high-quality standards with which they operated.


Essentially, they required a digital solution to create a satisfactory in-person visit to their large-scale factories.  

 

 

 

 

Hence, Marketrix by Creative Hub considered three key factors to create the ultimate digital experience. 

 

  • Firstly, a visual journey, curated for visitors to showcase the standards of the factory with a detailed process.  

 

  • Next, delivering the essential information and initiatives. 

 

  • Finally, a secure, user-friendly platform that collects customer data to gain valuable insight. 


 

Our Strategy

 The Marketrix platform was created to tackle this with an all-inclusive VR trip offering complete visibility of the production and manufacturing processes of the gloves. 

 

The platform was customized to provide clients with an immersive and interactive experience.


The platform was fabricated in such a way that the user would first be welcomed to an actual factory environment in 3D virtual reality and guided in real-time by a representative from Lalan. 

 

 

 

 

The 360-degree panoramic virtual tour was made more informative through video narration of a supervisor at each process change point, with more features such as info-points, floor plans, and 24/7 accessibility.

 

The Marketrix platform allows Lalan complete access to customer data and gain valuable insight into customer performance, helping them make smarter long-term decisions. 

 

An easily navigable interface, explicit visual content, and a stable platform ensured the VR tour was both seamless and efficient.

 

Marketrix also includes exclusive features such as inbuilt security, customizability, and scalability. 

 

 

 

 

Our online virtual reality platform was built and deployed in React JS as it is faster, more scalable, and secure than usual HTML/ CSS languages and optimizes performance. 

 

Marketrix is backed with Node JS secure authentication and further secured with SSL and TLS1.3 protocols to manage and store a large volume of data and traffic spikes. 

 

For enhanced user experience, the platform is hosted on an NGINX web server connected to Mongo DB to provide high output and less latency. 




 

The Result

With Marketrix 3D virtual reality tour, Lalan was able to save repetitive costs and time of physical client visits. 

 

Further, Lalan can now invite customers to their factories virtually and measure customer growth with inbuilt customer analytics. 


Owing to the stable and robust platform built, Lalan Rubbers continues to deliver more sales pitches with minimal cost, enabling clients to gain an expansive knowledge and exclusive insight into their processes.
